Is SimplerBill free?
Yes. The invoice and receipt generator is free to use and does not require an account.
Do I need an account?
No. You can create invoices, receipts, drafts, templates, customer libraries, item libraries, share links, and JSON backups without signing in.
Is my data uploaded?
No. Editing, preview, PDF generation, local drafts, customer libraries, item libraries, and numbering settings run in your browser. Share links and JSON files are created only when you choose those actions.
Can I move an invoice to another browser or device?
Yes. Use Share Link for quick transfer, or Export JSON and Import JSON for backup and migration.
Can I reuse customers and products?
Yes. You can save common customers and products or services locally, then fill or add them quickly next time.
Can I customize the PDF layout?
Yes. You can choose A4 or Letter, compact or comfortable density, show or hide the logo, show or hide the footer, adjust logo size, and choose a brand color.
What business scenarios are supported?
SimplerBill includes presets for freelancers, consulting, retail receipts, SaaS subscriptions, legal services, finance, contractor work, proforma invoices, and quote or estimate workflows.
What is the latest version?
The current release is v1.14, which adds Buy Me a Coffee support links in appropriate low-distraction places. Earlier versions added PDF layout controls, local drafts, billing adjustments, payment details, share links, SEO template pages, business presets, customer and item libraries, JSON backup, and print fixes.
